The Founder
Deborah is the proud owner/Managing Director of DLS Safeguarding and Wellbeing Solutions Limited.She has worked in a number of roles over many years, gaining extensive experience, knowledge and skills.
She has worked in children’s residential, including a Secure Unit, as a Secondary School Learning Mentor, Anti-Bullying Support Officer, Nursery Nurse and Bail and Remand Support Officer.
As a Training Coordinator, Deborah managed a team of 10 volunteer Trainers. She has an Honours Degree in Government, NNEB Certificate and an Advanced Mentoring Diploma and is also a qualified Adult Education Tutor.
Deborah is passionate about teaching and learning. As part of her own continuing professional development, Deborah has recently been awarded a Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Child Protection and has qualified as both an accredited Mental Health First Aid Champion and Instructor.
Voluntary Work
Deborah is committed to offering support that will make a difference and recognises the social impact of her work, both paid and unpaid. She trains on a voluntary basis for Sheffield Safeguarding Adult Board and is a Trustee for a survivors charity. In addition, Deborah is a telephone support volunteer for Breast Cancer Care and a Circles of Support and Accountability facilitator.
